Happy 18th Birthday, Nephew! – Chris’s Senior Pictures

Some people are begrudgingly headed to work today after a long holiday weekend, but I guarantee there is at least one person who is loving this Monday! Meet Christopher, my oldest nephew, who is celebrating his 18th birthday today! Last fall, we captured some senior pictures in his hometown of Eolia, Missouri- a small and very rural area that teeters between Pike and Lincoln County. This is the sort of town where three or more towns send their kids to a school, which is still extremely small. I think his graduating class had 30 or so kids, which is to say, pretty much one classroom full. Christopher is without a doubt a product of his parents- his dad, Chris, and his mom and my sister, Katy. He’s carrying on the family tradition of working very hard. He does well in school at Clopton-Elsberry High School, played on the football team (Go IndianHawks!), and put in plenty of hours at his job working whatever task he could get his hands on. Needless to say, I’m a pretty proud aunt. So I was thrilled when I got the chance to photograph him not far from his home. We even featured his beloved truck and really captured who he is and what he loves. He’s a full-fledged country boy. He loves hunting, his truck, and supporting his friends and family. Look at that handsome smile! senior pictures senior pictures Senior Pictures There is his beloved truck. It has since bit the dust, but those dusty Eolia roads will do that. Although a pre-season injury junior year kept him from playing most of that season, he was always there to support his teammates. senior pictures The long, winding road towards his family’s home with him sporting his football jersey and helmet.
